Welcome to Autumn Hill Farm

Together, Katie and Roger acquired Autumn Hill Farm, in Epping, New Hampshire in the fall of 2013. Privately sited atop a hill, the late-1700’s Colonial residence overlooks 13+ acres of rolling lawns, gardens, and a private fruit orchard. Large, established hay fields stretch from behind the home to the woodlands and beyond. The abutting 100+ of conservation land ensure a private and peaceful environment. Katie and Roger have carefully expanded the property to include the amenities expected of an exclusive equestrian facility without compromising the charm and history of the antique homestead.

Murphy Eventing offers lessons, training rides, and training-board for the equestrian seeking quality instruction without compromise on behalf of their own education and the education of their equine partner. For more information, please visit our Lessons and Training page.

Our Facility:

Barn: Six stalls measuring 12′ x 12′ with private, adjustable windows for airflow and ventilation. Stalls may be expanded for breeding and rehabilitation. A seventh 14′ x 12′ stall is available for overflow. An insulated tack room provides plenty of space for equipment.

Pasture: Autumn Hill Farm is surrounded by acres of old-growth, established hay fields. Large turn-out allows the horses to graze and move freely without the abrupt turning and stopping of a small space. Three smaller paddocks adjacent to stalls allow for 24-hour turnout during inclement weather. All paddocks are fenced with WindRiver Fence, the safest fencing available to the market.

Outdoor Arena: 200′ x 150′ carefully designed riding arena, complete with drainage, quietly sited atop the rear field. Large pieces of fieldstone border the ring, offering a scenic viewing area of the riding area.

Hacking Path: Bordering the large rear field and the arena, a hacking path traverses most of the open land. This is an ideal area for hill work and strength training. There is abundant, privately-owned land adjacent to Autumn Hill Farm and throughout the immediate area.

The horses at Autumn Hill Farm experience life outside the ring. The adjacent conservation land, logging trails, privately owned fields, abundant wildlife and livestock, and quiet dirt roads provide wonderful stimuli for the young, green, or reactive horse – ideal for a change of pace, or preparation for exciting show environments. We are closely located to the beach, ideal for scenic seasonal rides and conditioning.

Katie Murphy is insured.
