Training Board:
Training board is offered at Autumn Hill Farm, and in Aiken, SC during the winter period. Katie is well-known for her successful work with young event horses, and young hunter/jumper prospects. With tactful skill and patience, she has had national success with young, difficult and exuberant horses.

Compassion, patient communication, and a clear plan for the horse’s education are paramount in Katie’s program. Whether you wish your horse to garner the basics on the flat or over fences, learn cross-country and technical jump elements, improve their dressage and jumping abilities, or build confidences through carefully planned experiences, she will create a plan suitable to your horse’s needs and your goals.

Katie also offers flexible training board options, ideal for when you are away on vacation, recovering from surgery, or would like a tune-up for your horse. Brief stays at Autumn Hill Farm offer optimal flexibility to meet your needs and schedule.

Training in Aiken:

Katie retreats to warm Aiken, SC for approximately 12 weeks, from mid-January through mid-April. There, she focuses on the fitness, progression, and competition of client-owned horses and her own. Horses are welcome for training board, and their riders are encouraged to join them. Excellent hacking, four cross-country courses in the area, abundant events, fox hunting, the Hitchcock Woods, and competitions for all disciplines make Aiken the ideal locale for a “step-up” on the competitive season or as a winter reprieve. Katie adores Aiken for the excellent training and competition opportunities. Kindly inquire for rates.
